1. The Nature of the Platform

Giving GPS provides a research layer intended to help donors discover hyper-local charitable organizations. While we utilize automated ETL pipelines and Artificial Intelligence to synthesize massive arrays of public data (such as IRS Form 990s and organizational websites), we are not financial advisors, nor do we act as a fiduciary.

2. Algorithmic Synthesis & Safe Harbor Disclaimer

Giving GPS relies exclusively on algorithmic computation, automated data extraction (ETL), and Large Language Models (LLMs) to synthesize public records into consumer interfaces. The resulting output, including but not limited to the "GPS Trust Score", is a **Synthetic Sentiment Index** mathematically derived from third-party public discussions on the web. It is strictly algorithmic opinion and is NOT a factual audit, legal endorsement, or a certified guarantee of any organization's merit, impact, or financial solvency. Machine learning models occasionally misinterpret context, hallucinate facts, or synthesize outdated public records. We provide Match Scores and organization summaries entirely "as-is" and "as-available," without warranty of any kind.

3. Organization Indemnification Clause

We are a free informational utility designed to democratize public data access for the philanthropic sector. By initiating operations publicly or maintaining public tax statuses within the United States, an organization acknowledges that their general operational footprint is subject to algorithmic categorization and open-source analysis. In utilizing this platform or appearing within its algorithms, users and organizations explicitly waive any right to bring legal action—including but not limited to claims of Defamation, Libel, Tortious Interference, or Negligence—against Giving GPS or its developers for incidental fluctuations in funding, reputation, or public relations associated with the manifestation of an algorithmic matching score.

4. Dispute & Correction Framework

If you are a representative of an organization featured on Giving GPS and believe your algorithmic "Trust Score" or associated AI-synthesized narrative contains verifiable hallucinations, outdated financial markers, or factual misinterpretations, you agree to resolve the discrepancy exclusively using our formal Re-Evaluation pathway rather than initiating adversarial legal proceedings.

You may trigger a new algorithmic crawl natively by submitting the Formal Dispute Modal directly on your organization's profile page. For severe manual escalations or takedown requests regarding sensitive materials, you must route your formal objection in writing to compliance@givinggps.org. Our developers will manually assess your index payload within 72 hours.

5. Prohibited Activities

You may not access or use the Site for any purpose other than that for which we make the Site available. The platform relies on computationally intensive matching algorithms; automated scraping, denial-of-service, or bypassing security perimeters to access our raw proprietary scoring models is strictly prohibited.

6. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, the Site is our proprietary property and all database schemas, algorithms, source code, and graphics on the Site are owned or controlled by us and are protected by copyright and trademark laws.
